Challenge
Before we found Fliplet, our original app was clunky and not really fit for purpose. It didn’t look very modern. Plus, we had to get in touch with the software company to make updates to the app, so changing anything in there was time-consuming.

This law firm already had an event app, which they were using to organize and promote events for their clients - both online and in-person. While their existing app had the basic elements they needed, it was awkward to use and wasn’t visually appealing. They also weren’t able to make changes to the design or layout. If they needed to adjust anything in the app, they had to go through the app company. Even adding a new event was time-consuming.
Given the problems with their existing app, the events team was keen to find a different solution that would be simple and straightforward for them to use and easy to update in-house. They wanted to find an app that worked out of the box but could also be customized to fit with their branding.
Solution
The team attended demos for four different app companies, weighing up costs versus what they needed to achieve with their events app. They were looking for two key things: the ability to have a web version of the app, plus the option to keep their events password-protected - something the other app companies they spoke to couldn’t deliver.
We didn’t want something that was ridiculously technologically advanced that we weren’t going to utilize. Fliplet was exactly what we needed right out of the box, while also being very easy for us to adapt.

Once they decided to go with Fliplet, the team began attending weekly training sessions to get them up and running with the app. They also received help and guidance from Fliplet to get the app into the App Store. This made sure the whole process of getting the app live went smoothly.
When it came to launching the app, they simply added their next event to the new app, and then sent out a link to access the app along with the event invitation. They could then quietly shut down the old app.
Results
The app is a great way for our clients to access events content remotely when they’re not in the office. If they need quick details on how to join a webinar, or they want to look up what else is going on, it’s all in one modern app that we can easily keep up to date.

Events can be managed in the app from start to finish. Each event has its own page in the app, with a description, agenda, date and time, real-life location or webinar link, and speakers. If a client wants to learn more, they can click on an individual speaker for more information and to view their speaker bio, plus related content is linked to the event - including slide decks and other presentation materials.
Key event details and webinar recordings can remain in the app for clients to refer back to, and it’s also easy to delete events once they’re no longer needed.
